Site Visit to the Maldives‍

Probably one of the most exquisite site visits one could be invited to, the BACA Team travel to the Maldives to experience firsthand the marvels of this archipelagic state.

Located in South Asia in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives, named after its capital, Malé, translates to "the islands (dives) of Malé." This chain of 26 atolls stretches across the equator, from Ihavandhippolhu Atoll in the north to Addu Atoll in the south.

BACA has been tasked with infusing originality and sensitivity into one secluded atoll, developing a truly sustainable, uber-luxury destination that aims to be the best in its class for the region.

Over the next few weeks, the team will stay at a variety of locations to immerse themselves in the culture, local construction techniques, and understand the genius loci of this unique setting.

While ideas and designs are currently under wraps, it's clear that the project will feature elements that are in, on, near, and possibly under water, promising an innovative and captivating destination.​
