Baca have designed a floating lido at a British seaside location. The lido has a lightweight anchored structure akin to a ships hull, with large keel-like wedges to steady the form in coastal storms. Bathing water is filtered and heated for temperate climates. The cavernous form echoes weathered coastal cliffs, creating enclosure the shield from midsummer sun alongside plenty of exposed sunning areas. International investors have approached Baca and we are looking forward to seeing offspring of the design on shores home and abroad.
