New flood storage areas would be created in land between the harbour site and Climping. A mixed-use development could be planned on higher land. The flood storage lagoons would create opportunity for mixed and transitional intertidal habitats, such as deep ponds, tide pools, mud flats, salt marsh, reed beds and grazing marsh.
