Floating Barrage

A 650m wide barrage of floating concrete islands could provide an adaptable long-term defence for London. The floatage would connect a natural ridge near Gravesend with high ground at Chadwell St Mary to create a long-term barrier and new bridge. Located downstream of Tilbury dock it could provide protection to London’s major assets.
