12.12.2011 : 100 planning track record maintained

Baca's unprecedented eight-year record of winning planning approvals is still intact with two more recent approvals.
Despite everything being stacked against it - a conservation area and a neighbouring listed pub - Southwark's planning department has granted planning permission for our proposed single storey roof extension to 28 Marshalsea Road.
The long-awaited application, which was approved in the latest planning committee meeting, was greeted by delight by the Baca team which is rightly proud of its long-running 100% success rate in achieving planning consent.
Baca Associate Owen Lambert, says: "Five previous applications have been made for an extension on this site so we knew we were taking on a tricky challenge when the client, also our office landlord, approached us for advice.”
"The mansard design, developed following detailed talks with the local planning officers and the Design and Conservation Team for the Borough, preserves and enhances the streetscape and addresses previous concerns. Even with relatively small projects we always go the extra mile and strive to keep everyone informed and onboard, which the planners really seem to appreciate."
